Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or on a team.QualificationsWe’re looking for professionals who can fabricate, install, and modify sheet metal duct systems according to plans, specs, and codeMust be dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or on a teamMinimum 6-10 years of experience as a Sheet Metal MechanicSkilled in layout, fabrication, and installation of duct systemsAbility to read and follow mechanical drawings and instructionsMust have own hand tools and appropriate PPEAble to lift heavy materials and work on ladders or in tight spacesReliable transportation to and from job sitesStrong work ethic and commitment to job site safetyBenefits.Pay Range: $28–$35/hr DOEWeekly pay through Construction Mechanics IncOpportunities for long-term or project-to-project placementsResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, duct drawings, and mechanical plansMeasure, cut, and assemble ductwork using hand and power toolsInstall rectangular, spiral, and flex duct systems for HVAC applicationsEnsure proper support, sealing, and insulation of duct systemsModify or fabricate fittings as needed to match field conditionsInstall dampers, diffusers, grilles, and registersFollow all job site safety procedures and OSHA standardsOperate shears, brakes, and other sheet metal fabrication equipment as neededMaintain cleanliness and organization of tools and materials on siteCollaborate with HVAC installers, pipefitters, and other trad
